acapulco.jpgI had the privilege of spending a week working with Fr. Pablo Straub’s order, the Missionaries of the Holy Savior in Acapulco last week, and took the opportunity to ask this wise priest a question or two about life. Below is an excerpt from my favorite conversation, paraphrasing, while staying accurate to the best of my ability.

Victoria:
How does one develop their intuition?

Fr. Pablo:
Love Truth and hunger for Truth.

Pick and choose from the information you receive. The subconscious mind, while not conscious, is always active. It is important to choose, because if you don’t, you have a mess in your mind.

When you are talking with someone, do not focus on (or allow importance to) your little likes or dislikes. It is important to focus on the person’s essence–who they are.

It’s a shame to think that women are the only one’s with intuition and men are the only one’s who think rationally. Both are perfectly able and should take the opportunity to develop both rational thinking as well as intuitiveness.
